Pins, pins, pins!

I love these Winding Ways blocks, even though they slow me down!

The key is to use pins. Not too many, but the registration marks and the end and midpoints need pins.

Now, to sew. Small stitches, slow pace. Lovely results.

  1. They are wonderful blocks. The name gives me the impression of slow walks along winding paths -- hence your being slowed down by them, maybe. It will take me some time before I graduate to curves, no matter how much I admire them! I'll look forward to future photographs of these blocks and the quilt they become.

  2. Thanks Nancy! I'm hoping to keep on the winding path. The work really is satisfying. And once you become friends with the bias, curves start to fall into place.

  3. I really like your scrappy look on this one. You are tempting me to buy that die.......

    1. I do love the die, the marks really make the pinning a no-brainer. I'd love to share my toy, if you are ever in the Northwest Indiana area, bring your fabrics!
