I tried binding by machine and I'm hooked. I love to finish projects - this is going to be so amazingly helpful!
There are lots of great tutorials in blogland. I'm just so embarrassed that read them so many times before trying them. Live and learn!

Hand stitching a binding is great for very special quilts. I just finished hours and hours of hand sewing a wedding gift quilt. I worry the hand binding won't hold as well as machine stitching it down but it is a "pretty" finish.
Thankfully my viking has an even feed floating foot system that makes machine binding a breeze.
I'll have to invest in some of those clips you used.
